We have loved Stance socks for a while, and they are great for our son too. Very durable and fun! These are a nice mid-calf height. He wears size 1 shoes, but we bought a L and they fit great.

Some of the socks feel too small, so I think sizing needs to be double checked. Also, some of the socks feel as though they’ve gotten brittle–faster than I would have anticipated.
Generally speaking, they are great socks!
